13th week: Software Reliability and Quality Management

A tuesday afternoon where we are back at the class. The class started with a seatwork 10 items. I wasn't prepared but I have read the module last week so hopefully I got some of the answers right.

After our seatwork we started our class immediately where we tackled about Quality. How and why  quality important? Software quality management and its approach. We also discussed about SQA or Software Quality Assurance, the ISO family and USTP is an ISO verified organization, CMM in which it has 5 levels we can use to improve our system, and lastly Software Reliability in which we can measure how reliable and how our software is designed. My unforgettable lesson there was the 5s which was  Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain. These 5 we can use not only to ensure the quality of our system but also our lives.

After our discussion we proceeded with the activity in which we are given a system to analyze its needs to make the system reliable and on good quality. Our system was a Medical Record Management System. In which the group answered. I specifically answered 4 and helped on answering the other 4 questions. And we were the last group to submit thankfully our professor accepted our paper.
